About Us

The International School of Dublin (ISD) was founded in 2007 and authorised an International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) school in 2009. This year we celebrate our 10th anniversary!

ISD was established to meet a perceived need for educational diversity within Ireland. The school is private, co-educational, nondenominational and international. We are proud to be the only IB World Primary School in Ireland.

We currently have 37 students who represent over 20 different nationalities from all over the world. We believe that the school’s success is due to our internationally regarded and accredited curriculum (IB PYP) and the manner in which it is lived out by our students, staff and parents.

At ISD you will find a welcoming, lively and focused environment, which is characterised by collaborative and purposeful activity. Our children benefit from an innovative form of schooling, a broad education that promotes inquiring, knowledgeable, principled, open-minded and caring learners who are balanced and reflective risk-takers.

Our small class sizes are guided by internationally experienced staff.   Students inquire about and question the world in which they live and ultimately development themselves as global, internationally minded citizens who have a clear view of their role in society. Our children are encouraged, guided and challenged to engage with real-life learning experiences. We aim for individual success and achievement for all children.

ISD accepts year-round student enrolments.  Prior to offering a place to a student, we will invite a family to visit, tour the school and meet the ISD community. When ISD believes it is appropriate, a child may be invited to spend a few hours at school with his/her peer group.  Please click on Contact Us in our tool bar to make contact.

With more than 150 student alumni scattered throughout the world, we enjoy keeping in touch with all our families – current, past and those soon to join us. Please follow us through social media:
